Privacy Policy — Ripperwing Mobile Games
Last updated: 23 September 2026
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Ripperwing Entertainment LLC ("Ripperwing", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you play our games on mobile devices, downloaded from Google Play or, where available, the Apple App Store (the "Mobile Games"), and when you use our mobile support site at mobile.ripperwing.com (the "Support Site"). Together, these are our "Mobile Services". This policy applies only to the Mobile Services.
Our Mobile Games currently include Backrooms Prop Hunt Online.
Ripperwing Entertainment LLC is the data controller responsible for your personal information.
- Ripperwing Entertainment LLC

If you have any question about this policy or about your personal information, contact us at .
2. Summary
- You can play without creating an account with us. Online play uses Epic Online Services with an anonymous, device-based ID.
- Signing in with Google Play Games is optional. It is only needed to keep coins on our game server.
- The Mobile Games show ads through Google AdMob. Google uses your device's advertising ID and other data to show and measure ads. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before ads are personalized, and you can change your choice at any time (see section 6).
- Purchases are processed by Google Play or the App Store. We never see your payment card details. We keep a limited record of each purchase to deliver it and to prevent fraud.
- When a Mobile Game crashes, it sends a crash report to our game server. Crash reports do not contain your name, your email address or your device's advertising ID.
- Voice chat is live. We do not record or store it.
- We do not sell your personal information for money. Section 6 explains how advertising is treated under some U.S. state laws and how to opt out.
- You can delete your game account in the game or at https://mobile.ripperwing.com/delete.
3. Information we collect
The exact information depends on the Mobile Game, your device and the features you use.
3.1 Online play and voice chat (Epic Online Services)
Our Mobile Games use Epic Online Services (EOS), provided by Epic Games, for online play: signing in to multiplayer, lobbies, matchmaking, connections between players and voice chat.
- Device-based sign-in. When you first start online play, EOS creates a login credential tied to your device and gives you an EOS product user ID. To create it, the game sends Epic your device's make and model. You do not need an Epic Games account.
- Multiplayer. We and Epic process your EOS product user ID, lobby and session information, and connection information such as your IP address when it is needed to connect you to other players or to Epic's servers. Your display name, in-game identifiers and in-game actions are visible to the other players in your session.
- Progress. Your experience points (XP) are saved on your device and backed up in Epic's cloud storage, linked to your EOS product user ID, so that they are kept for that device's online-play login.
- Cross-platform play. You may be matched with players of the PC version of the same game.
- Voice chat. The Mobile Games have push-to-talk voice chat in lobbies and matches. The game asks for permission to use your microphone. When you hold the talk button, your voice is sent live through Epic's voice service to the other players in your lobby or near you in a match. We do not record or store voice chat. You can refuse or withdraw microphone permission in your device settings and still play.
3.2 Google Play Games sign-in and your game account (Android)
Signing in with Google Play Games is optional. If you sign in:
- Google confirms your Google Play Games player ID to our game server. We do not receive your name, email address or profile picture through this sign-in.
- We create a random account ID for you. The game shows it as your Support ID, so that you can quote it when you contact us.
- We store your account ID, the link between it and your Play Games player ID, the link between it and your EOS product user ID, your coin balance, the totals of coins you bought, earned from ads, spent or had adjusted (for example after a refund), any coin debt, items you unlocked with coins, and when the account was created and last changed.
- Your device stores a session key so that you stay signed in.
3.3 Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play on Android devices, or by the App Store on Apple devices where a Mobile Game is available there. That store collects and handles your payment information under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your payment card or bank details.
To deliver a purchase and to stop the same purchase from being used twice, our game server checks each purchase with the store (for Google Play, through the Google Play Developer API) and keeps a purchase record: a one-way hash of the purchase token and its last six characters (not the token itself), the product, the date and time, the number of coins granted, whether it was a test or promotional purchase, your account ID if you were signed in, and whether the purchase was later refunded or cancelled. The store tells our server about refunded and cancelled purchases so that we can remove the related coins.
3.4 Advertising (Google AdMob)
The Mobile Games use the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob), provided by Google. According to Google, the SDK collects:
- your device's IP address, which may be used to estimate your general location;
- device and account identifiers, such as your device's advertising ID and app set ID;
- your interactions with ads and the app, such as app launches, taps and video views;
- diagnostic information about the performance of the app and the SDK.
Google uses this information to show ads, measure them, prevent fraud and, where you allow it, personalize them. Section 6 explains your choices.
Rewarded ads. Some ads are optional and give you a reward, such as coins or playing an emote. When a coin reward ad finishes, Google sends our game server a signed confirmation that contains a random reward code, your account ID, the reward, the ad unit, the ad network, a transaction ID and the time. We use it only to give you the reward once. Rewarded ads that play an emote send no identifier to our server. We do not use your advertising ID ourselves.
3.5 Checking for genuine copies (Google Play Integrity)
On Android, the store version of the game uses the Google Play Integrity API when it starts. Google checks whether the app is the genuine version, whether it was installed or licensed through Google Play and whether the device passes Google's integrity checks, and tells our game server the result. Our server uses a one-time code for each check and deletes it within five minutes. We do not store the result in a database. Unlicensed or modified copies may be blocked.
3.6 Crash reports
If a Mobile Game crashes or closes unexpectedly, it saves a crash report on your device and sends it to our game server the next time you start the game. A crash report contains:
- the game, build and engine version, the platform and the last map loaded;
- a random ID for that play session;
- your device's make and model, operating system version, processor and graphics chip, and memory usage;
- the time, the type of problem, the error message and technical details of where the crash happened;
- the last part of the game's technical log (up to about 64 KB).
Crash reports do not contain your name, your email address, your advertising ID or your device's hardware ID. The technical log can contain in-game identifiers that the game writes to its log, such as your EOS product user ID. We use crash reports only to find and fix problems.
3.7 Server logs
When the game talks to our game server, the server records technical information about each request, such as your IP address, the date and time, the address requested, the result, and shortened references to your account. We use these logs to keep the service secure, stop abuse (for example, by limiting how many requests one IP address can make) and fix problems.
3.8 In-app rating prompt
After a few matches, the game may ask Google Play or the App Store to show its standard rating window. The store handles your rating and review. The game does not learn whether or how you rated it.
3.9 Information stored on your device
The game stores your settings, your ad consent choice, a random installation ID, your session key, purchases and ad rewards that are still waiting for confirmation, and crash reports that have not been sent yet. Uninstalling the game removes this information from your device. It does not delete information held on our game server (see section 10).
3.10 The Support Site, support emails and deletion requests
- Server logs. The Support Site is a static site hosted on Firebase Hosting, a Google service. When you load a page, the hosting servers automatically record technical information such as your IP address, browser type (user agent), the page requested, the referring page and the date and time of the request.
- No analytics or trackers. The Support Site does not set cookies itself and does not use analytics, advertising pixels or similar technologies.
- Deletion request form. If you use the form at mobile.ripperwing.com/delete, we store the email address you enter, the game, the Support ID and the reason if you add them, your confirmation, the page the request came from and the date and time. The form is stored in Google Cloud Firestore, part of Google Firebase, in the United States. To prevent spam, the form uses a hidden spam trap field and limits how often it can be sent from your browser, using your browser's local storage (not a cookie).
- Support email. We provide support by email at . When you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and anything you choose to write or attach, such as your Support ID, a Google Play order number or screenshots. We use it only to answer you and to handle the issue you raise, such as a purchase, a bug, a player report or a privacy request. Our email provider processes these emails on our behalf.
3.11 What we do not collect
The Mobile Games do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos or files. They have no text chat. We do not use a third-party analytics service in the Mobile Games.
4. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- run the Mobile Games and their online features, including multiplayer, cross-play, voice chat and saving your progress;
- keep your coins and unlocked items and deliver your purchases and rewards;
- show ads and, where you allow it, personalized ads;
- check that copies of the game are genuine and prevent cheating, fraud, reward abuse and other misuse;
- find and fix crashes and improve stability and performance;
- answer your support emails, player reports, privacy requests and deletion requests;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our rights.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you. Blocking an unlicensed or modified copy of the game is based on Google's check of the app, not on a profile of you.
5. Legal bases for processing (EU, EEA and UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on the following legal bases under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR:
- Performance of a contract: to provide the Mobile Games and the features you choose to use, such as online play, voice chat, your game account, coins, purchases and rewards, including answering your support emails about them.
- Legitimate interests: to keep the Mobile Services secure, check for genuine copies, prevent cheating, fraud and abuse, fix crashes, keep purchase records to prevent the same purchase being used twice, answer your support emails, and fund free games through non-personalized ads. We only rely on legitimate interests when they are not overridden by your rights and interests.
- Consent: for personalized ads and for storing or reading information on your device for advertising, which we ask for through Google's consent message. You can withdraw consent at any time (see section 6); this does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
- Legal obligation: where we must process or keep information to comply with the law, for example records connected to purchases and refunds.
6. Advertising, your advertising ID and your choices
Personalized and non-personalized ads. Personalized ads are chosen using information about you, such as your advertising ID and your activity across apps. Non-personalized ads are chosen using limited information, such as the app you are using and your general location, but Google may still use data such as your IP address and identifiers to limit how often you see an ad, measure ads and prevent fraud.
Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, the Mobile Games show Google's consent message when you first start the game, before any ad is requested. It asks whether you agree to personalized ads and to Google and its advertising partners storing and reading information on your device for advertising. If you do not agree, you will only see non-personalized or limited ads.
Changing your choice. You can review or change your choice at any time with Privacy options in the game's settings. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device settings: on Android, Settings > Privacy > Ads (the exact path depends on your device).
Apple devices. Where a Mobile Game is available on the App Store, it uses your device's advertising identifier for personalized ads only if you allow it when Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks. If you do not allow it, you see non-personalized ads. You can change this at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Targeted advertising under U.S. state laws. Some U.S. state privacy laws treat allowing an ad network to use your advertising ID and activity for personalized ads as "selling" or "sharing" personal information, or as "targeted advertising". We do not sell your personal information for money. If you live in one of these states, you can opt out of personalized ads with Privacy options in the game's settings, or by deleting your advertising ID in your device settings.
Ad-free purchase. If you buy the ad-free option, the ads that appear without you choosing them are removed. Optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch for a reward stay available.
Google's use of data. Google explains how it uses information from apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
7. How we share information
We share personal information only as described below:
- Service providers that process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (our game server, its databases and server logs), Google Firebase and Google Cloud (hosting of the Support Site and storage of deletion requests), and our email provider (support emails). They may use the data only to provide their services to us.
- Google, which provides Google Play, Google Play Billing, Google Play Games, the Google Play Developer API, the Play Integrity API, the in-app rating window and AdMob. Google processes information as described in section 3 and under its own privacy policy, including as an independent controller for advertising where you allow personalized ads.
- Apple, if you use a Mobile Game on an Apple device, for the App Store, purchases and the rating window, under Apple's own privacy policy.
- Epic Games, which provides Epic Online Services for online play and voice chat, under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Other players, who can see your display name and in-game activity and hear you when you use voice chat.
- Legal and safety reasons, where disclosure is required by law or needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our players, us or others.
- Business transfers, if Ripperwing is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
We do not sell your personal information for money. See section 6 for advertising under U.S. state laws.
8. International data transfers
Ripperwing Entertainment LLC is based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Our game server runs on Cloudflare's global network, and our game databases are located in Western Europe. Deletion requests sent through the Support Site are stored in Google Cloud Firestore in the United States. When we transfer personal information from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland to a country that has not been found to provide an adequate level of protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum where applicable), or on our providers' certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where available. You can contact us to request more information about these safeguards.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy:
- Your game account (account ID, links to your Play Games player ID and EOS product user ID, coin balance, coin totals and unlocked items) is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, see section 10.
- Purchase records are kept for as long as we sell the product concerned, and then for no longer than 24 months, so that the same purchase cannot be used twice and so that refunds and disputes can be handled.
- Deleted account records (your random account ID, marked as deleted, with its coin totals) are kept for the same period as the purchase records that refer to them.
- Ad reward confirmations are deleted 30 days after they are received.
- Anti-piracy one-time codes are deleted within five minutes.
- Crash reports are deleted from our server no later than 90 days after they are received, and sometimes earlier. Reports waiting on your device are deleted after they are sent, or after 14 days.
- Game server logs are kept for three days.
- Deletion requests (your email address, the game, the details you entered and the date) are kept for no longer than 24 months after we close the request, so that we can show that we handled it.
- Support emails are kept for as long as needed to handle them and for no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you.
- Your XP backup at Epic Games is kept while your online-play login exists and is covered by the deletion described in section 10.
- Data held by Google, Apple and Epic Games, such as your Google or Apple account, is retained under their own policies, except where we ask them to delete it as described in section 10.
We may keep information longer where the law requires it or where it is needed to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
10. Deleting your account and data
In the game (Android). Open the Store screen from the main menu. If you are signed in with Google Play Games, the account line shows your Support ID and a Delete account button. Tap it and confirm. The game asks Google Play Games to confirm that it is you, then deletes your account right away.
On the web or by email. Go to https://mobile.ripperwing.com/delete, or email with the subject "Privacy Request". Include the game and your Support ID. To make sure that nobody else deletes your account, we reply to the email address you gave us and ask you to confirm the request and the Support ID shown in your game. We complete requests within the time required by law, normally within one month.
What is deleted. Your coin balance and any coin debt are set to zero, the links between your account and your Google Play Games player ID and EOS product user ID are deleted, your unlocked items are deleted and all sessions end. When you delete your account in the game, the game also deletes the online-play login stored on your device. For every deleted account, we ask Epic Games to delete the data linked to your EOS product user ID, including your XP backup. If you sign in again later, you start with a new, empty account. We also delete support emails about your account, except the record of your deletion request.
What we keep. To prevent purchase fraud and handle refunds, we keep your random account ID marked as deleted together with its coin totals, and the purchase records described in section 3.3 that refer to it, for the period stated in section 9. These records no longer contain the links to your Google Play Games player ID or your EOS product user ID. Ad reward confirmations are deleted within 30 days and crash reports within 90 days; crash reports are not linked to your account. We also keep the record of your deletion request (section 9).
If you never signed in with Google Play Games, we do not hold a game account for you and cannot link any data on our server to you. Your crash reports are not linked to you and are deleted within 90 days.
Data held by others. Your Google account, Google Play purchases and ad data are held by Google, and your Apple account and App Store purchases by Apple, under their own policies. An ad-free purchase is linked to your Google Play or App Store account, not to your game account, so deleting your game account does not remove it.
Uninstalling the game does not delete data held on our game server.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorized access. For example, the game talks to our game server only over encrypted (HTTPS) connections, we store purchase tokens only as one-way hashes, and our logs use shortened references instead of full account IDs. No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your rights
These rights apply to everyone who uses our Mobile Services, wherever you live. You can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Delete your personal information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- Receive your information in a portable format (data portability);
- Withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent. This does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to opt out of targeted advertising (see section 6).
How to make a request
Email with the subject "Privacy Request" and describe what you would like us to do. To help us find your information, include the game and your Support ID if you have one. For deletion you can also use https://mobile.ripperwing.com/delete. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, normally within one month. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Right to lodge a complaint (EU, EEA and UK)
If you are in the EEA or the UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). We would appreciate the chance to address your concern first, so please contact us.
13. Children's privacy
Our Mobile Games are intended for players aged 13 and over. They are not directed to children under 13 and are not part of Google Play's Families program. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Where local law sets a higher age for consent to data processing (for example, up to 16 in parts of the EEA), players below that age may use the Mobile Games only with the consent of a parent or guardian, and should decline personalized ads in the consent message. The Mobile Games include online play and voice chat with other players. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, contact and we will delete it.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we release new Mobile Games or features or when the law changes. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, such as a notice on the Support Site or in our Mobile Games. We encourage you to review this policy regularly.
